taking it on the road...
the eyelet cardigan from blue sky is finished and has been worn if only for the photo shoot...so far!
the cost was reasonable. the pattern was easy. the result is a nice little cardigan for spring or summer.
buttons from jo ann fabrics: $10.00...4 skeins blue sky alpacas cotton yarn, color stone from knit pixie: $34.00...pattern also from knit pixie size small: $4.00...started march 22 and finished april 26...just in time to be packed to go to the beach! modifications: sleeve length was made a bit longer and made more tapered and not meant to be worn cuffed. needles: knit picks options size 7's...i love my options! love them lots! they are my favs! ok now i'm gushing and i haven't even started talking about the sweater! you can see for yourself the sweater is cute and practical and great for a breezy day on the beach in the morning sun!
and the color stone? you can see why they call it stone..get it? the sand is tiny little stones! it's a warm rich color and it washes well...throw it in the washer and in the dryer! no worries!
same for the skirt...good thing too cause it went in the ocean! later...love g

Cute sweater. All your beach photos are making me ill. I haven't been on vacations for almost two years. Are dogs allowed on the beaches there year round?

bazl...it's been two years for us as well so this was very much needed and enjoyed. dogs are allowed on the beaches here year round...leashes required of course but that's mostly everywhere. only a few communities do not allow dogs on the beaches. driving on the beach is also allowed most every where. we like to go in spring or fall as it's way less crowded and way cheaper to rent a house on the beach.
