spc elements...
in the water...my favorite place to be.
alone and sitting on a rock in the middle of the youghiogheney river among the splashes and ripples and rushing of the water as it pushes past the rocks and plants that grow on tiny little islands of earth that pop up here and there in the middle of the yough gives you a sense of the expanse of the river, it's might and it's size especially by comparsion to the visitors to the river who share it with it's inhabitants...the birds, the fish, the turtles, the toads and the plants. if you look up or down river it seems to go on forever. there is nothing quite like it to make you feel small...in a good way! see more spc's here.
That is so cool! I miss living next to a river like that. Makes me want to move back to Colorado, or at least near a river!

mmm yes, that looks so tempting! I love swimming in rivers, as long as they're not too fast...

Nice shot, were you able to take it yourself? If so it must have been interesting setting a timer and scooting over to your rock.

it was interesting. i made a practice wade without the camera in case i slipped and fell and when i felt secure in my ability to walk in the water safely i put the camera on a nearby dry rock so i didn't have too far to scoot. fortunatly no wind was involved.

Sorry it's taken me so long to get over here to leave a comment. I saw your photo on the main SPC site, and kept meaning to get over here. Awesome shot. I'm glad bazl asked about how you did it cause I was wondering too. Looks great in black and white. So refreshing.
