it's all over but for the...
returns. i don't know that i have any myself but there is the problem with the duplicate guitar hero III and the empty bottle of flirtacious perfume but those are the problems that the daughter faces! i've discovered that return policies are not consumer friendly.
used to be when you bought a gift and had a gift receipt that the recipient could retun it for the cash that it cost to buy it but nooooo...now the stores want to give you a credit to the buyers account or a store credit as if the day after christmas there is anything left in the toys r us that one would have a need to buy! i remember this issue making the news a few years back but i tend to forget about these things mostly because i rarley have a need to return anything i buy because if i buy it i want it but i digress
gifts are another issue. my mom has the right idea...she calls everyone of her kids and instructs them to buy a gift for their kid aka her grandkid and then she reimburses them. it's not a perfect plan but at least there are no duplicates and if worst comes to worst the source of the payment is in the house where it needs to be unless of course you bought with cash and i think this was one of the very few if not the only things i paid for with a credit card so...live and learn. the dogs loved thier gifts...the german gutted his bird within 3 minutes and the husky sent the rest of the morning harrassing the german for sport! the grandpuppy was seen sporting her new hoody in her fenced in yard and the daughter and i cooked a turkey breast and we had ham and mashed potatoes and lots of cookies and a few rousing games of air hockey and guitar hero and i collapsed into my bed last night and within seconds i was asleep. today i'm having carrot cake for breakfast and i am on vacation and the guy is going to the dentist! later...love g
