you know it's a knitters new year's eve when...
you are on ravelry adding knits to your queue instead of drinking and celebrating!
the guy and i and friend phil ate at mccormick and schmicks in the late afternoon on new years eve...much less of a crowd at that hour...we had mussels and crab cakes and cod and flounder and some wine and creme brulee then took in a movie...no country for old men...very cool and very good and it took the three of us and one of us saw it twice to figure out the ending and to top it off we had free popcorn and i ate it all. yep i ate it all.
we visited with phil and kathy for a while and then came home to chez gaysknits to drink wine and wait til the pot banging time. it is the end of another year. another long year and i am hoping for a better and more prosperous year and more relaxing one and one filled with things i love and love to do. today i wore my favorite knitted sweater...marilyns not so shrunken...could this be a sign of things to come?
could it be that i will actually wear my sweaters. i hope so cause i have some sweaters planned and some scarves and some chair cushions and some kids knits and well a lot of good stuff is coming this year...i hope. it is three minutes til midnight now and i have to go bang some pots so i will see you in the new year. by the way...i looked high and low and could not find a noise maker so i twirled my scarf around for you...have a happy and prosperous year and a year filled with joy and love and luck! later...love g
