mmm mmm hot out of the pot....
i've been missing the north carolina bbq pork sandwiches we had when we visitied the beach. i should specify...eastern nc bbq. there is a running argument as to whether eastern...vinegar sauce as opposed to western...tomatoe sauce is the official nc bbq. i vote eastern. this is not hot off the spit as it is officially done in eastern nc but hot out of the crock pot with yummy coleslaw...the perfect way to serve the perfect meal. later...love g

My son, who lives on the Southside, bought a 15 pound pork shoulder to make NC BBQ for the 4th. He's doing the spice rub and smoking it for hours. His roommate, who is from NC, is doing the sauce! Hopefully they won't be too drunk to enjoy it!
